Margaret Welte

Margaret (Maggie) is a third-year PhD student in the IFSN lab. Interested in group-based biases and the potential factors that may mitigate them, Maggie currently studies how interracial contact shapes racial biases in a range of social cognitive processes, including person perception, memory, and mentalizing. Margaret received her B.S. in Psychology and B.A. in Women's Studies from the University of Florida. In her free time, Margaret enjoys reading, running, and trying new bagel shops. Pronouns: she/her.
